Paste any YouTube URL into the input field on the home page, then click 'Analyze Video.' The AI will process the video in under 2 minutes. Once complete, you can ask unlimited questions about the content. Try starting with our suggested prompts for best results.
Yes, a free account is required to use Ask Your Video. Sign up takes 30 seconds with Google, and you get 1 hour of free analysis - no credit card required. Your account saves all your conversations and tracks your usage balance.
We support all public YouTube videos including lectures, tutorials, podcasts, documentaries, product reviews, and entertainment content. Videos must be publicly accessible - private, age-restricted, and live streams are not currently supported. Maximum video length is 3 hours.
All your video analyses are automatically saved in your conversation history. Access them anytime from the sidebar in the app. Each conversation includes the video, your questions, and all AI responses. You can also delete conversations you no longer need.
Billing & Usage
Usage is based on video length — 1 minute of video uses 1 minute from your allowance. For example, a 50-minute podcast uses 50 minutes, and a 2-hour lecture uses 2 hours. Once a video is analyzed, you can ask unlimited follow-up questions about it at no extra cost.
Your billing cycle starts on the day you subscribe and renews monthly. For example, if you subscribe on Jan 15, your next billing date is Feb 15. Your monthly allowance resets at the start of each cycle and does not roll over. You can view your next billing date in Settings > Subscription.
When your monthly allowance is depleted, you can purchase top-up packages to continue analyzing videos immediately. Top-ups are available in various sizes and can be used anytime within one year of purchase. Alternatively, wait until your next billing cycle for your allowance to reset.
No, unused monthly minutes do not roll over to the next billing cycle. Your allowance resets at the start of each month. However, top-up packages purchased separately remain available until used or for one year from purchase date, whichever comes first.
Yes! Purchase top-up packages anytime without changing your plan. Top-ups are available in various sizes (30 min, 2 hours, 5 hours) and can be used immediately. They don't expire for one year, giving you flexibility for occasional heavy usage without committing to a higher monthly plan.
You can cancel anytime from Settings > Subscription > Cancel Plan. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, and no further charges will be made. Unused minutes do not roll over after cancellation. You can resubscribe anytime and start with a fresh monthly allowance.
Technical
No — our AI actually watches the video. It analyzes visuals, on-screen text, speech, and context together, not just captions or subtitles. This means it can answer questions about what's shown on screen, diagrams, charts, demonstrations, and visual details that transcript-only tools would miss.
Analysis time depends on video length and complexity. Most videos complete in under 2 minutes, but longer videos (1-3 hours) may take a bit longer. The AI processes every frame, dialogue, and on-screen text for accuracy. You'll see real-time progress as analysis runs. If a video is stuck for over 5 minutes, please contact support.
While our AI achieves high accuracy, it's not perfect. If you receive an incorrect answer, try rephrasing your question more specifically or asking for clarification. You can also ask follow-up questions to narrow down the correct information. For persistent issues, contact support with the conversation ID so we can improve our models.
Yes! Our AI supports 100+ languages for both video content and your questions. You can ask questions in any language and get answers about videos in any language. Accuracy is highest for English content but works well for most major languages. Multilingual videos with subtitles are also supported.
Privacy & Security
We never store the actual video content. We only save: (1) the YouTube URL you submitted, (2) public video metadata like title and duration, and (3) your questions and AI responses as conversation history. All data is encrypted and private to your account. You can delete any conversation anytime.
Yes, you can delete individual conversations or your entire history anytime. Click the delete button next to any conversation in your sidebar. Deleted conversations are permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Your usage minutes already spent remain deducted from your allowance.
Troubleshooting
If analysis fails, first check that the YouTube URL is correct and the video is publicly accessible. Private, age-restricted, or region-locked videos won't work. Ensure the video is under 3 hours. If the issue persists, try again in a few minutes as it may be a temporary service issue. Still having problems? Contact support with the video URL and we'll help troubleshoot.
